Firesprite MD, Graeme Ankers, runs 10k for the suicide prevention charity - dressed as Spyro the Dragon!
This week Firesprite Managing Director, Graeme Ankers, took on a mighty challenge in aid of PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide and, thanks to all your generous support, raised a whopping £3,670 for the life-saving charity.
You truly blew us away with how quickly we were able to smash our original fundraising goal of £500, and as your donations kept coming, we kept raising the stakes for Graeme!
On Monday the 21st of June, Graeme set off for his now 10k and 200 push-ups charity challenge - 20 push-ups at the end of every 1km - all whilst dressed as Spyro the Dragon! His journey took him through Liverpool city centre and docks, to a waterfront finish line where he was met by proudly cheering sprites.
Thanks to your generosity we raised a massive £1,835 which Firesprite then doubled in celebration of your overwhelming support and Graeme’s incredible efforts, giving us a total donation of £3,670 for this crucial charity.
The Firesprite team couldn’t be more proud of Graeme’s efforts and are truly grateful for all of your support. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who donated and also to everyone who helped us spread the word on social media by sharing our fundraising efforts!
PAPYRUS is the national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. Their vision is for a society which speaks openly about suicide and has the resources to help young people who may have suicidal thoughts. PAPYRUS exists to reduce the number of young people who take their own lives by shattering the stigma around suicide and equipping young people and their communities with the skills to recognise and respond to suicidal behaviour.
A huge thank you again to Graeme and to everyone who donated! Every penny helps to save lives.
