An update on our environmental partnerships and initiatives
This April, the theme of Earth Month and Earth Day was “Invest in our Planet” and our studio was keen to answer the call!
Planting Trees
As part of our continued partnership with environmental social enterprise, Ecologi, we make monthly contributions to our Firesprite forest.
This partnership allows Firesprite to make a rolling, positive impact towards the current climate crisis by contributing funding towards Ecologi’s impactful climate solutions.
Throughout Earth Month, we once again doubled all of our Ecologi contributions, planting 600 trees this month - for a total so far of almost 50,000!
Whale Adoption
This April, we also partnered with Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), a non-profit organisation and leading global charity dedicated to the conservation of whales and dolphins.
Their Games for Waves program allows developers, publishers and streamers to support the charity’s invaluable work through fundraising activities and spreading awareness.
As part of our partnership, Firesprite are delighted to be adopting a beautiful humpback whale named Salt!
We’re looking forward to keeping you updated with all future news on this exciting new partnership.

Sprite Celebrations
As well as our studio commitments, our sprites we keen to invest in our planet in everyday ways themselves. We said ‘no’ to plastic carrier bags with our new Firesprite durable, eco-friendly and ethically sourced Earth Day totes, lovingly designed by our Senior UI Artist, Jon, and modeled expertly here by Caleb!
We also had updates on our wildflower seedbomb send outs! We sent out wildflower seedbombs to all of our sprites to plant and sprinkle around to support their local bees, butterflies and insects. Daniel shared this lovely shot of these seedlings starting their journey, soon ready to nourish their local ecosystem.
We’d like to extend a huge thank you too to Elena who absolutely championed a focus on everyday environmental initiatives this month - sharing changes we can all consider to live a more sustainable life and look after this wonderful planet we call home. Elena filled our studio chat channel with insightful, impactful and easy to implement ideas and alternatives all month long, with our sprites already switching to these practices, striving to make a positive difference.
