Marching with Pride in our home city of Liverpool
On Saturday the 27th of July, our sprites were proud to unite with our good friends of PlayStation Liverpool and march together with thousands in our magnificent home city’s annual March With Pride event!
The spectacular event was an incredible and vibrant celebration of visibility, inclusion and allyship, in a city which prides itself on fostering exactly that. We were so proud to show our studio’s support alongside PlayStation Liverpool in a celebration of Pride; recognizing and supporting LGBTQIA+ communities, PlayStation staff and gamers everywhere.
Here at Firesprite, we understand that support and allyship is a year-round commitment and we’re proud to celebrate equality every day of the year in our dedication to a culture of inclusion and mutual respect.
As part of that commitment, we’ll be donating £500 to the LCR Pride Foundation, an LGBTQIA+ charity working to highlight community barriers, champion rights and create a culture of inclusion in our home city of Liverpool.
Our new studio décor for year-round display, and amazing materials to get our sprites march-ready all reflect our studio as a safe space, and were sourced from Gay Pride Shop, who proudly “give back to our community 52 weeks of the year” by sharing 15% of their profits with The Albert Kennedy Trust, The George House Trust and Sparkle charities.
A huge thank you to our sprites, PlayStation Liverpool, LCR Pride Foundation and everyone who arrived on the day and made this march so memorable for us all. We continue to educate ourselves and promote visibility and support throughout Pride month, July’s Pride in Liverpool, and beyond.
