Firesprite Partner with Whale and Dolphin Conservation

Making waves with WDC and adopting Salt the whale

This Earth Month, we’re incredibly excited to announce our partnership with Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), a non-profit organisation and leading global charity dedicated to the conservation of whales and dolphins.

WDC’s visionis “a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free” and they work to achieve this vision through global conservation campaigns, research, projects and educational work.

The charity has worked in collaboration with the gaming industry for almost 10 years through their Games for Wavesinitiative which we’re absolutely delighted to support as a new partner!

Games for Waves allows developers, publishers and streamers to support the charity’s invaluable work through fundraising activities and spreading awareness.

As part of our partnership, Firesprite are adopting this beautiful humpback whale, Salt!

Salt is over 45 years old, has mothered 14 calves throughout her life, and is now a great grandmother. We couldn’t be prouder to be one of Salt’s adopters and play a part in the conservation of her crucial natural habitat, thanks to the efforts of WDC.
